What is RPM?

RPM, which stands for Rehabilitation and Pain Management, represents more than just our clinic's name; it embodies the bodywork method created by Jim Moretz PhD, LMBT, and employed by our therapists to alleviate our clients' pain. This innovative therapeutic approach to both acute and chronic pain merges embodied cognitive science with contemporary neuromuscular massage therapy, offering a sensorimotor experience that unifies your musculoskeletal sensations into a cohesive feeling. RPM’s Neuromuscular Massage therapy is specifically designed to provide significant relief at the first session and measurable sustained pain relief in ~4 to 6 weeks.

What is a Neuromuscular Massage?

Neuromuscular massage therapy is a specialized form of soft tissue manipulation that can alleviate chronic muscle and nervous system disorders. While a general massage can be beneficial for occasional muscle soreness from exercise or work, neuromuscular massage therapy offers a more targeted approach for addressing persistent or severe muscular pain.

The American Academy of Pain Management acknowledges Neuromuscular Massage (also known as trigger point myotherapy ) as an efficient way to treat pain caused by soft tissue injury. The word ‘neuro’ for nerve-related and the word ‘muscular’ for pertaining to muscles, incorporates both of these systems in the term, neuromuscular massage.
